Sharon House Short Story Competition!

Enter our Short Story Competition for a chance to see your work published both on our website and in print in our Anthology of Short Stories for Children.

Theme: A Story for Children aged 9+
Word Limit: 3000 words
Fee: £12
Prize: £150, publication on Sharon House Publishing Website and possible future publication in the
Sharon House Publishing Anthology of Short Stories for Children. Second Prize £100
Closing Date: 30th June 2015

Rules:
• The short story must be no longer than 3000 words. Any work submitted over this word limit will be disqualified.
• Entries must be made in English
• Documents must be on plain A4 paper with double spacing and good margin widths. No handwritten entries.
• All documents must have a title page giving name, address, email, phone number, story title and word count.
• If entering by post, mark your envelope ‘Short Story Competition.’
• Entry fee of £12 should be sent by cheque made payable to SharonHousePublishing, by Pay Pal or bank transfer. Please contact us for details. If paying by Pay Pal or directly please make clear your surname and reference Comp1.
• Applicants may enter as many times as they wish provided each entry is accompanied by the £12 entry fee.
• The story must be the entrants own original work and must be not be published anywhere in print or online.
• Entrants retain copyright for their manuscript however Sharon House Publishing retains the right to publish winning entries in any form.
• Winners will be notified within two months of the closing date and will receive their prize winnings, and publication on our website within that time. However Sharon House Publishing will not set a date for publication of the Anthology of Short Stories and retains the right to publish the winning entry in this publication at any time.
