Love to blog

October 8, 2015

I wrote a blog around this time last year entitled ‘Why blog?’ Interestingly nothing much has changed since then, whilst everything has changed.
What on earth am I talking about? Well basically this;-

People blog for a variety of reasons, yes some make a living out of it, but many to share their knowledge of which we are all grateful. Others use it as a platform simply to empty the thoughts from their head or just have a moan.
Why do I blog? I don’t have to. I suppose it’s just because I can. Yes indeed, some times I feel there is something I want to share, then whom am I sharing it with? It’s not that I have thousands of followers now is it?
Well reading my blog this time last year it seems I clearly needed a moan. Or let’s say, felt led to express my feelings. Yeah! Complaining about the Maddie McCann saga, the bad behaviour of Ben Flower on the rugby pitch and the horror of the 43 missing Mexican students, later found dead.
Hum! Nothing has changed. I’m moaning yet again about the Maddie McCann saga which seems never ending, with an estimated 12.2 million spent on the case by April 2016. What Ho! I still say these two should have been charged with neglect. Pleeeease, have you ever looked at the missing kids UK website? Yes, what about all the other missing children? Why so much time energy and money on one child?

Then there’s bad behaviour by those who are supposed to set an example. Don’t get me started. They’re all around us! Too many people need lessons in parenting I think. It’s unbelievable what I come across even on the local school run and passing through town.

And the horrible killings as yet another US college mourns the loss of the lives of so many young students. I’m told this is the 45th school shooting in a US college this year. A staggering thought!

I ended that blog 12 months ago saying there are too many people suffering in the world and things have become increasingly worse since then.

So, with that thought in mind. We must never complain, easy to say that I know. But we need to be so grateful if we can kiss our healthy children good night.

Rise next morning to the sound of the birds in the garden, a hot shower and food in the fridge.
And we need to teach our children well.

I love this, Proverb 22.6. King James.
‘Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.’
